August Crime Statistics - St Ann's

Good afternoon St Ann’s residents. 

I just wanted to provide you with a summary of the crime statistics for St Ann’s Ward for August:

The total number of offences recorded were 60. This is a drop from 81 recorded in July.

There have been a total of 5 burglaries up from 0 offences in July.

Personal Robbery has increased by 1 offence with 6 recorded in July and 7 recorded in August.

Theft offences have increased from 10 in July to 11 in August. 

Violent offences have reduced significantly from a total of 29 in July to 12 offences recorded in August.

Motor Vehicle crime (theft from a vehicle) has increased from 3 offences in July to 7 in August.

With Autumn now upon us and the nights drawing in, we historically see an increase in theft from person and robbery offences. When exiting public transport hubs please “Look up, Look out”, be aware of your surroundings and keep personal devices out of sight of potential thieves.
